Some reflections...

I am very grateful to have close family and friends who stayed with me... It's them who make my life more complete...

Recently, I am facing immense pressure from work demands..causing my intense backpains.. I am glad that many close friends are around.. giving mi good advice and also their listening ears and eyes (via fb/sms).. LOL

Here's from qianming which I agree and LOVE her comments:-

"You have a job to make your life more complete..but your life shouldn't be about completing job.

Employers always work the best workers the hardest...and it is hardest for the best workers to not work their hardest...haha..."

Thanks friends.. you guys really provide me with good listening ears...I feel really better and thankful that I have such close family and friends =)

Our Little LOVE Nest..

I am really glad that we have our new place to look forward to...

Frankly, I did have some concerns with inlaws staying initially pre-wedding after hearing many horror stories from gal friends and relatives. Since our wedding, I have been staying at kk's place in Tampines.. My inlaws have been very nice to me.. helping both kk and myself with alot of chores and feeding us with the nice food.. both of us are indeed very thankful to them...With the new Punggol home coming, kk and myself will move towards another step of our lives..*No longer Mummy's boi or Mummy's gal for the both of us*

- The "Just the 2 of Us" experience - Before Project B.. i think this is the best time for the 2 person experience..

- More "Cooking" experience since we had no one to relied on.. it's now my experimental period to polish the Carbon into *Diamond*.. so more kitchen time..Stay tuned next April onwards to see if I have started cooking again...

- More *duties* .. so we have to take the Duty Timetable we have prepared during our marriage preparation course to see our duties for household chores... *part-time housekeeper is likely to be our option too*.. haha

With keys coming in Dec, we are currently sourcing for ID/contractor's quotations... =)

It's been some time since deeri (I) last updated the blog..
We been to some places these months with friends and family members..

August...Malacca trip.. a self drive trip that I liked alot.. thanks to jingyi's family for the hospitality! Great accompany and new friends! I have also went to Vietnam HCM (not with kk)... Missed my hubby.. haha

September.. Kukup trip.. it's another type of experience.. haha.. the fireworks, coconut pudding etc..and celebrating Wilson & Kevin's bday... (here's some photos from DarkChocolate) ..

Now apart from my neverending peak period, KK coming b-day in nov... the next big thing is we are getting our keys in Dec this year...it's time to plan for renovation! =)

Jay 跨時代 concert

Jay's concert finally here! It's been a few years since kk and myself went for concert! These concert tickets are really HOT..got sold out within 3 hours..Our family and friends really enjoyed it.. Thanks Alex for helping us to buy the tickets!

Haneda airport to Chitose - Lake Toya / Noboribetsu

Took the JAL domestic flight to Hokkaido and met up for our SA land tour. It's real coincidence that we met Jerin and her family for our Hokkaido land tour!

We went to Ainu village to catch a glimpse of the aborigines of Hokkaido and went to Lake Toya area.. At night, we watched the fireworks at our hotel and our 1st onsen (hot spring bath).. Shiok!

Lake Toya - Asahikawa

Went for Cherry Picking and Strawberry picking! We covered the Jigokudani (hell valley), Mt Showa and Bear Ranch.. went for HOKKAIDO KING crab! Had the legs raw with wasabi and the hotpot soup was sweet... had hairy crab too.. the Hokkaido King crab taste sweeter than the hairy crab! though kk still prefers Singapore chilli crab .. hahah... and in the evening we went to Asahikawa Shopping Street (2nd largest city Hokkaido)..

Asahikawa - Sounkyo

We went to Otokoyama Sake Brewing Museum..we tried the Sake and bought some home, went to cheese and wine factory..Went to Furano Tomita Farm..the place i look forward most..LAVENDER fields.. I am especially excited to see the flowers!

For lunch, KK had his Japanese beef! These cows drank sake, had massages weekly, listen to classical music.. LOL...We had the most expensive one available coz kk dun wish to have regrets after the trip.. it's AA rated! cost around $150 each piece. the beef's nice but kk think the beef dun worth so much.. LOL..

Had another round of Onsen (hot spring)... this time.. kk prefers the hot spring more!

Sounkyo -Otaru- Sapporo

We went to Otaru where we saw Otaru Music Box Museum then we proceed to "Shooting Stars" and "Milky Way" the 2 waterfalls in Hokkaido.. In the evening, we went to Odori Park for Shopping! Finally kk managed to help Ms Wu buy the rock melon syrup there..it's a tough search.. for mi, i also bought souvenirs..Went to Shopping mall at Odori Park to buy blue label.. haha.. and Samantha Thavasa at near JR tower to buy something.

Sapporo

Went to buy souvenirs and food (tonnes.. love the Ishiya chocolate and potato farm) hahaha.. and The Chocolate Factory...The Ishiya Chocolate factory is pretty! we watched the garden show at 2pm and had chocolate factory. Went to the Old Hokkaido Government Building and then to Rera Chitose Outlet Mall...

KK prefers Hokkaido for the scenic view and of coz the AIR (cool manz) and I slightly prefer Tokyo coz of the shopping.. hahaha.. and here are the LOOTs we bought!

KK made a Asakusa temple for our Japan memory.. I LOVE IT!

We will miss Japan.. if there's opportunity and time, we will go again and maybe self drive!

Akihabara, Tokyo Tower, Ginza, Shinjuku, Harajuku

SHOPPING SPREE!

Our last 2 days in Tokyo is for Shopping.. be it actual shopping or window shopping, 2 days is not enuff for Tokyo Shopping.. In the morning, we went for ramen at Shinjuku (near our hotel).. It's the BEST ramen we had eaten..we went to Akihabara for electronics and gadgets, Maid Cafe (hee..)

Thereafter we went to Ginza for Sanrio World.. we din buy alot of my melody.. haha.. only bought a pouch and a bag for Celeste (kk's niece). Went to a shopping mall for Burberry blue label to see the designs and Samantha Thavasa to help Avril search for her card holder..

At night time, we went to Tokyo Tower.. it's beautiful! Many of the Japanese ladies wear traditional Jap wear to visit the tower.. we went to both main observatory and special observatory to catch the bird eye view of Tokyo..

The last day in Tokyo City.. we have Rakuten (recommended by hotel) western food.. it's value for money and taste delicious.. i love the special bread especially! The restaurant is nicely decorated with bears and other designs.. We shopped at Takashimaya and bought blue label bag for myself and helped Avril bought her card holder finally!

After Shinjuku, we went to Harajuku again.. hehe.. went to have a bowl of Tenya Tempura.. i love this! Nice Tempura fastfood! Went to Kiddyland in Harajuku too.. =)

We will miss Tokyo!

Tsukiji, Asakusa, Odaiba


Free and easy definitely made both of us too relaxed and woke up later.. haha.. we woke up at around 9am. Knowing that we are not going to the fish market sale (where we need to wake up at 4am).. we intend to go to the Tsukiji fish market for sushi (fresh cuts from fish market). Apparently we went to "Sushi Da" and Q for 2.5 hours under the hot sun for the sushi.. The Sushi is definitely Oishii but the Q is too too long.. we finally start our sushi brunch at 1 plus..We took a 2500 yen (7 pieces + roll + soup) and 3900 yen (10 pieces + roll+ soup) sushi set.. the 3900 yen is at chef's recommendation and discretion where we can choose 1 of our own choice and of coz we chose the fatty tuna! LOL..


After the sushi, we went to Asakusa for temple visiting.. and took the HIMIKO from Asakusa to Odaiba park.. The HIMIKO is cool manz.. it's a futuristic ship.. we enjoyed the airconditioned cruise ride under the hot weather! At the Odaiba park, the Toyota Showroom really surprised us.. we had a ride on an automatic Toyota car around the premise and kk really enjoyed "examining" the various car model..

It's a long awaited honeymoon.. JUL.. the month where we are able to see LAVENDER in Japan.. it's the reason why we choose july for our honeymoon.. =) I have decided to document down our HONEYMOON becoz it's really memorable and relaxing moment.


DAYS IN TOKYO...

3 Jul to 4 Jul 2010 (Sun)
Shinjuku, Shibuya, Harajuku


After our night flight with JAL, 4 Jul morning begins with Narita Express. We went to Hotel Sunroute Plaza Shinjuku and place our luggage with the hotel counter and off we went to shop in Harajuku and Shibuya.. I like the hotel location alot coz it's just 3 min walk to Shinjuku shopping area and train station. It's a Sunday so we went to Harajuku as it's a place with trendy young Japanese and happening! We also went to Meiji Shrine, Yoyogi park.. Since it's our 1st day in Tokyo.. we decided to save more another day.. =)

DisneySea!


No regrets at all choosing DisneySea over Disneyland.. though i am not sure abt Disneyland.. but DisneySea definitely excites us! LOL.. especially Tower of Terror and the 360 degree roller coaster! Be it childish or what.. haha.. i am excited to take photo with MICKEY! The fireworks and seashow is nice! It's also relaxing and romantic to take the boat ride along the "venice alike" setting.

Completed our Marriage Course.. =)

We went for the marriage prep course after our wedding.. hahaha... I like it..

kk dun think such courses are neccessary.. but i really appreciate it when he came to the course with me becoz he knew i wanted to go for such courses.. Thanks Dear =)

The 4-week course was with Arthur and Chee Siah @ TOUCH.. They are GREAT!

We learnt more about each other's LOVE languages and in summary we learnt these:

Principles
1: A healthy self is an important foundation to marriage
2: Being committed is using our will to love even though our feel may be low
3: A family is like an organisation. Everyone has a role to play. Every family needs a leader.
4: Being understanding is more important than being right!

Today kk and I went to celebrate my besties' birthday 1st time as Mr & Mrs Lio...Our friendship is one that I cherish alot.. my JC friends "165" .. it's our 10th time celebrating Ming and Li's birthday..


It's our 1st Time to Resort World Sentosa..It's something NEW and we are impressed with it..LIKE IT! We went to Hard Rock Hotel Starz Restaurant .. The buffet spread although not alot of variery but are NICE..esp The burger and prata...

The starz restaurant crew are friendly and sang a special Birthday song each for both of our friends.. Applaud for them!

Our Future Love Nest

Last week KK and I went to Punggol our future home to take a peek! It's already built till Level 16 already (the top floor) and now painting and interior works should have commenced..

Expected key collection is Q2 next year. =)

Marriage course registration & loots from Far East!

Marriage Preparation Course (It's never too late to start) =)

Today kk and i finally registered for the marriage courses at bukit merah central with TOUCH. I have been asking kk to sign up much earlier before the wedding.. but due to his study coupled with the marriage preparation, it's not easy to find time to attend the courses together. kk finds it not beri necessary to attend the courses. For mi, I think that such courses helped us to have common understanding on issues which we may seldom touched on.. e.g. expectations, household chores, finances, relationship with inlaws, family planning etc..and I kept asking him to attend the courses... June may to be a good time.. it's his holiday period. Today we FINALLY went to do PREPARE inventory @ TOUCH.. a questionaire where we went to separate rooms and do around 100 questions..(MCQ).. we will be able to see the results in June when we will have our 4 sessions with a couple instructor (husband and wife team) and a few other newly wed/preparing to get married couples. Hope that the sessions will be fruitful and we can understand and learn to support each other through the way both of us hope to be.

Far East Plaza Loots!

Yeah! Had my haircut at Erwin's place today.. KK and I have been his regular.. =)
After the haircut, KK and I shopped around and saw IRONMAN 2 and WAR MACHINE model.. haha.. I bought KK the toy models.. We saw a bag which i quite like.. so he bought mi the bag.. A little present for us=)

Met Alex and Daniel today and had durian @ geylang.. =)

This weekend will be Iron man 2 and Ip man 2 for us.. hahaha.. 2 man.. Jingyi said it's IPRON MAN.. haha

Quite enjoyed Iron Man 2.. Hope Ip Man 2 is better! Heard the reviews are good.

Mum x 2
Another Double.. though we do around the same thing.. But this year is the 1st year we have 2 mothers each. haha.. So today kk and I will bring his mum to Tao's restaurant to eat and tomorrow will be Master Crab with my mum. It's Pre-Celebration for Mothers' Day.. coz kk's mum will be in KL most probably still and 9 May we will celebrate Xue Shuang's 21st birthday in chalet. =)

Finally Tokyo is confirmed!

Hmm.. Our Tokyo extension with SA tours has not been successful.. so it's been quite disappointing initially.. But I must say SA tours has been patient with me and helping me with the extension options whenever possible.

We are given the option to just take the SA Tours land package only for Hokkaido.. I am glad that we settled the air tickets (both international and domestic) with Japan Airlines directly. Booked our Hotel @ Shinjuku! Yippee! So from 3 July to 9July, kk and I will go to TOKYO F&E before goin for our HOKKAIDO trip to join SA Tours from 9 July to 14 JULY!!! Our long awaited 2 weeks HOLIDAYS! =)
