Album layout

There are heaps of things that we need to do for the next few months..

1st Album layout viewing

Overall, we are quite satisfied with the album layout except for 2 layouts. But overall it exceeds my initial expectation. I can see the effort of My Bridal Room team. Thanks to the team! 2nd album viewing on 2nd January 2010.

Traditional aspect of the wedding

This is quite tricky.. haha.. got to ask parents on the cakes, pig trotters cans stuff and let kk's parents know.. so we will have to fixed the meet the parents and Guo Da Li (GDL) dates soon..

House Cleaning

The in-charge will be my youngest sis Xue Ying.. Thanks gal!

Got our car and now it's album layout =)

Yeah.. we have settled our bridal car last weekend and now today we will be viewing the album layout 1st time with MBR! I guess i am quite critical regarding this aspect, hopefully, it will turn out well..=)

Phuket.. here we come! our short getaway! Yippee!

Yippee!!!

We will be having a short getaway immediately after our wedding.. I'm so happy!

As kk is studying (and can't apply long leave in March), we can only have our HoneyMoon only till June (thinking of going Hokkaido or Swiss in June.. will decide in Feb for our Honeymoon)... hee.. Managed to convince kk to go for our short getaway in Phuket immediately after our wedding.. I'm so HAPPY! Thanks Dear.. i know u agreed to my request becoz u knew that i really wanna go for a short getaway immediately after the wedding! I really appreciate it alot!

Phuket here we come! Thanks to my company for sponsoring our accomodation @ Millennium Resort Patong Phuket too.. hee..Finally booked the Silkair tickets. =)

We're getting married in 100 days!

Added a facebook "wedding book" application today and realised the countdown ticker saying "We're getting married in 100 days" =)

Wow... time flies.. got to relook at the wedding checklist soon...Alot of things still need to be done...

Photoshoot 2

Had our 2nd photoshoot yesterday. Chris Ling is really professional and detailed, even with the way he placed my gown train and veil.. KK and I are very IMPRESSED with him.. we went to high court ...yesterday, botanical garden was drizzling.. Chris was nice, he offered us an option with a postponement or we can shoot if we want to in the rain.. so in the end, we chose to go ahead.. Chris said, I was the most beautiful BTB in botanical garden.. (haha.. coz only one).. haha.. I love the white pavillion and the waterfall..We really appreciate his efforts and enjoyed the shoot!

Also, thanks to Weili's for being our cum Chris' helper... 3 seconds to switch off the lights..Thanks gal =)

Florist + "ROM" gown

This morning, we went to bedok to have breakfast. Also, we went to order flowers for our 2nd PS. The forumers raved abt Mrs Teo (florist).. so we decided to go there.. as I already had 3-4 bouquets for my bridal shoot for the 1st PS at MBR, I only need a nice, simple bouquet for the 2nd PS.. so we settle for a simple rose bouquet in the end.. Mrs Teo is nice..she also volunteered to give me additional flowers for hair and kk's phototaking. here's the website for Mrs Teo..=)

At 1 pm, we went to MBR to choose my "ROM" gown for the 2nd PS. As my 1st choice is taken on the 3 Dec, I manage to use the "outdoor" ranges of gowns instead (which normally couples have to top up). Yeah!

Today, i managed to leave office to celebrate dear's b-day =)

Went to eat Sakae Tepanyaki with him.. Today, he got upset with somethings.. but hopefully he will have be Happy after I celebrated with him and be worry-free!

Ordered Emicake online coz he always like DuRiAn! hee.. It's 1st time i bought durian cake for him.. The durian filing is NICE! HAPPY 29th B-day and may all your wishes come true!

Happy birthday Dear!

It's Singapore time 19 november 2009 now.. officially past midnight (12.05am).. i just sent kk an sms to wish him happy birthday! hopefully i can leave office earlier to celebrate with him..

Preparation for 2nd PS

Preparation for 2nd Photoshoot (PS).. continued..

Think kk is "addicted" to wearing suits le.. haha.. think he carries suits quite well.. Dickson menswear (Mr Wong) is highly recommended in sgbrides forum. Previously Mr Wong has made him his white long sleeve shirt for the first PS with MBR (we had a 3 piece package with Mr Wong.. suit, vest and shirt)..We have made an appointment with Mr Wong at 7pm today for the measurement. So we listen to Mr Wong's professional advice on the suit.. 1st fitting somewhere next week for kk!

I am glad to receive an sms from Joanna that my gown has arrived! I have ordered the gown 4 weeks ago.. Yippee! despite the long hours of work that the btb had in office (yesterday i worked till 1am), it's great to have such gd news coming! Hopefully, the gown will look nice on me! =)

Tomorrow we will be going to Dickson MensWear @ Suntec to tailor made kk's suit for our 2nd PS on 3 Dec..=)

More my melody and our bed...

After the hard work in office on Sat, kk and me decided to go shopping / relax. We went to Suntec Alegra shoe shop for the wedding shoes adjustments. We happened to pass by the bed promotion =) Tried on a few mattresses in Suntec and find that I like the dunlopillo duchess mattress alot as I have back problems. After dinner, kk and i went to marina square where kk said it's been ages since we went to arcade. Haha.. saw a My Melody arcade machine... kk knew that i have been super stressed with my work recently..so he is okie with playing My Melody arcade machine as I like the small MM as "wrist corsages". Haha..here's the loots we had gotten.

Today, we went to S&C amk furniture shop to ask about the dunlopillo duchess mattress. This shop is recommended by forum also. The boss said the suntec promotion is quite good. So here we went to Suntec again. =) Before deciding to buy the mattress from the Suntec carrefour, we went to Millenia Walk harvey norman to try the other mattresses. So finally, we still like the dunlopillo duchess mattress and buy from Suntec carrefour. We bought the dunlopillo duchess mattress (king size) and bed frame with storage $2k+. 2 pillows and a mattress protector. kk wanna storage type of bed frame so it's slightly more ex.

So with the posb everyday card.. we got 5% rebate.. so it's Daily$100+ for next use. By spending in carrefour, we also gotten a free induction cooker and a kettle. haha.. we din expect to get these things in the 1st place.. =)

Photo selection day..part 2..

haha.. in the end we top up for the additional 16 photos and metallic.. surprising i am the one who is more disciplined.. but kk is ok.. as long as both of us are happy..ok lar..=)

It's photo selection day!

Today I began the day with the Great Eastern Run with my besties (too bad mx is sick too) and we had a great time in MacDonalds chatting after the run...Thanks dear for fetching us to the run this morning!

It's photoselection time in 1 hour's time... haha.. i had asked kk to stop mi (i will try to be as disciplined as possible).. Hopefully the damage will not be great..i would rather more funds to go into honeymoon than to storeroom... I hope that i can be disciplined. =)

Photoshoot

kk and I had fun taking our photoshoot. We like our make-up artist (MUA), Apple alot!! Apple is really great.. I really like her make-up and the different accessories and hairdo that she did for mi. She also paid attention to changing kk's hair style and outfit. Her sense of humour really makes mi comfortable. Apple is very nice.. she went the extra mile to buy food for kk and me (when we are taking our last indoor shot) so that time is not wasted and we could go out asap for our outdoor shot! Thanks and thumbs up for Apple! =)


Not forgetting weijie, our photographer (PG). His professionalism is admirable. We went to alexandra road, hort park and sentosa (tanjong beach)..both kk and i have problems each.. i really cannot coordinate..haha... when my body need to twist, I will forgot how to pose my face..for kk, he had great coordination.. but kk cannot smile.. hahaha.. great body language but no smile. haha. We started at 10am and finished at around 8pm and weijie really tried to capture the best shots for us. Thanks weijie!


Not forgetting to thank MBR crew.. especially Jade, my designer for making such gorgeous gown, Abbie, my coordinator, Carol, Ruth and uncle Quek and lady boss.

We place emphasis on our actual day (AD) photographer(PG).. the hunt for our AD PG was a long one.. hahaha..we 1st gotten the quotations from the various PGs and i came out with the list to visit... wow..did we visit 10 of them? Let's see..

Gown hunting experiences

We settled our bridal package in December last year. Alot of the research are done through online forum feedback, bridal magazines, friends' experiences and finally I came out with a list of bridal studios to visit.. hahaha..Our final choice is My Bridal Room. =)

The 1st time I visited MBR is with a group of forum friends.. haha.. 7 of us (all brides-to-be).. haha.. it was like a school excursion type of experience where the coordinator explained the packages. The next time, kk and I went to the MBR bridal show at Meritius Mandarin. kk can really clicked with the boss and since both of us are comfortable with MBR, we signed the made-to-measure (mtm) package there.

The gown trying experiences are fun and i got to thank all the coordinators in MBR and especially my designer Jade. I just loved her designs. thumbs up Jade! The 1st time i saw and tried the gowns she previously designed, i knew i liked her style. In June, Jade patiently went through the 200+ pictures of gowns that i like (which i have saved in the thumbdrive) and let me try gowns which suits my body type and the designs i like. After the 3 hours of communicating, she took out a paper and drew the design with me.


Time flies and my mtm gown is ready! It's a halter neck ballgown. I loved it!

I will be having 5 gowns for photoshoot (PS) next Tues and one of them is my mtm gown of coz.*wink* =)

Our experiences todate...

I guess this blog will be a wedding diary maintained by the bride-to-be (BTB)..which is "mi".. as the GTB has no flair for blogging.. hahaha
We have started our wedding preparation about a yr back... SG brides is definitely the major source of our information.. feedback for bridal studio, photographers, videographers, hotels, etc. The BTB shall share more along the way.. Hee..

The Proposal 13 Sep 2009

We have been together for 9 years 9 months plus ...

13 September is the day kk popped the official request .. hee.. He brought me to Il Lido, an italian restaurant for dinner in Sentosa (Sentosa is where we started our love/dating during vacation job). After dinner, we went to keppel bay and then to Punggol (our future lovenest) where he opened the car boot and displayed a rose bed made by him showing "Will U Marry Me?" followed by the knight's kneel with ring and flower.. hee.. I am beri touched by his effort. =)
